Established by General Francisco Franco on January 23, 1944. An outstanding ball tipped enameled white Maltese cross in silver, presenting typical crossed laces in each quadrant also in silver, encompassing with a silver vertical sword, the obverse superposing by a gilded figure of St. Penafort with multiple colored enamels, reverse with button for attachment, measuring 24. 66 mm (w) x 26. 95 mm (h), near mint
