New England’s front doors are stately and paneled, painted in bright colors each with brass knockers glinting beside sidelights. Fanlights arched overhead. Worn thresholds echoing generations. Hinges creaking with salt air. Symbols of welcome, status, and heritage. Oh, the stories they could tell.
