Moonlight postcards have a magic appeal for everyone. In the Golden Age of the postcard they were a mark of any right-thinking town, to show off their modern way of life and their up-to-date streets.
In an up-coming article Postcard History readers will discover, in an article about military post office operations that mail from the homeland to the battlelines was thought by military brass to be essential and it took priority – often in front of guns and bullets. It is safe to say any mail – even nonsense “Come On” postcards like these would be welcomed.
