    Thomas Edison and Henry Ford had become friends when Ford worked for Edison in Detroit. They established Winter retreats next to each other in Fort Myers, Florida. The inventor and the automobile magnate collaborated on several projects and were still close when Edison died in 1931.

In the summer ‘67 there were as many people who thought the world was coming apart as there were people who thought the world was coming together. The place where much of this thinking took place was San Francisco. There was one problem; those thinking “together” wanted to do it in a way that those thinking “apart” did not like. Nevertheless, the “Summer of Love” is fondly remembered!
