It matters not a hoot, how jaded one becomes in life, the sign of a church fire evokes deep emotion. It may be that it is one of the few times that empathy is aimed at those we don’t know. The paintings in this patriotic set of Red Cross postcards could measure the degree of love we have for our ancestors, as well as our contemporaries.
