The only zoologist I know calls critters like the ostrich The Creator’s Experiments; He just wanted to see if they would work. The accounts in Genesis tell us the birds were made on day five. Since day five is a little late in the creation week maybe “experiments” is a little harsh.

The clarion call that the sun never sets on the British Empire is legend but its first use was around the 1850s. Three hundred years before that the history of British royalty was already four hundred years old. That is a lot of history ponder. A Scottish princess named Mary is a bit part, but totally fascinating.
