    The writings, collections and artwork of children is seldom found in museum archives. A situation that is a real social failure. Curators are loathe to see such documents destroyed but it happens every day. When the “kids” go off to college the 8th grade essay books go to the dumpster. Shame on us, America.

If it is a history book from which we learn of our past, it is often difficult to tell the good guys from the bad. That wasn’t the case when it came to Jefferson “Soapy” Smith. Everyone who knew him thought he was a bad guy and they have written of his antics to reflect what an evil man he was.
