Postcards with captions, quips, and well-wishes, expressed in the Yiddish language, were mailed to friends and family just to stay connected. However, for the many who cannot read or understand the language they remain unexplained. Hy Mariampolski, a new Postcard History contributor, has deciphered the enigma.

Enjoy this romp along Broadway – New York City’s most celebrated avenue.
