The SS America sank nearly two decades ago. SS United States will soon be underwater, too! America’s namesake ocean liner still holds the Blue Riband for the fastest transatlantic crossing. She epitomizes America’s best but will soon be forgotten. Postcards will be the only reminders of that glorious ship.
