Anonymous (1944-2003) Editor’s Note: The events of this story were experiences had by a friend of mine who attended Bucknell University in eastern Pennsylvania as an economics major. He traveled with a college friend, CM, to Europe in the summer after graduation and returned home six weeks later to find a draft notice in his mailbox. He asked for a six month deferment and it was granted. The following March, Anonymous and CM joined the Marines and within  four months, they were serving together in Vietnam. In 1975 Anonymous returned to his community college professorship in Keene, New Hampshire. CM is buried in the National Cemetery in Hawaii.
