Here is the missing #7 that was mentioned in this article. I have been a Petley postcard collector for years and there are just a few cards I need to complete my collection. I have not yet begun to collect the chrome postcards. Only the Laff cards. There are also a few Black & White Petley cards not mentioned here. I can post those if anyone is interested. These include 2A, 2AA, 4A and 10A. None of these are considered offensive. Also, contact me if there are any Petleys you are looking for. I may have an extra of that… Read more »
Hello Vickie! Your father’s cards were a part of my childhood. In the 60’s we vacationed in Rehoboth Beach, DE and there was a 5 & Dime store that sold many Petley Laf cards. I purchased about 20 of them and had them for years, always looking at the great artwork and rekindling memories. I started collecting Patley Laf cards twenty-some years ago and am always looking for new Petley cards I never saw before. Besides the repetition of the rabbit, I noticed that the car in 7A is the same as the one in 5, although the women are different.
We have a different Justa pausin’ for a Little Refreshin’. Says Tollhouse Store and c-49 in the bottom left hand corner.
