The Horse Guards. It may surprise my readers, but the Horse Guards is not a horse nor a guard. It is a building. Yes, a government building and a military post located in the City of Westminster, London. First commissioned in 1663, it was designed to be a gatehouse to St. James Park. For the last 360 years the work done here has been vital to the stability of the United Kingdom.
