In today’s world, sports heroes are several and varied. Sixty-plus years ago, when Stan Musial played baseball, he too, was a hero to many fans for many reasons. He was admired not only for his ability with a bat and ball but for his character in playing America’s favorite pastime sport – Major League Baseball.

This is a very unusual contribution to Postcard History. It is about the artist, L. H. “Dude” Larsen, and his art and how he used his talents to make postcards.
