    Princess Ann traveled with carnivals throughout the U.S. during the 1960s and ’70s. She worked in her own “single-o” tent, where she chatted with visitors (who paid an admission price) and sold postcards like this one. Some of her cards were pitch cards (which don’t have a postcard back).

Dover Publications is a well-known name in the publishing industry, but not so much in the postcard world. The business model at Dover mined the public domain and brought much early 20th century graphic arts to modern postcards. We should be grateful – most movie posters never appeared on postcards.
