In July 1954, Henry Austin Clark, Jr. opened his “Carnival of Cars” museum in the basement of the Astor Theater in Times Square, New York City. It was a grand media event that included some early television celebrities. The cards featured here were souvenirs of the day.
Thankful as we are to have postcard shows (or fairs) open to us on many weekends each year, many collectors want more. Those who do (want more) are collectors like our new contributor Nancy Beckworth Harris. In her first Postcard History article Nancy shares her “Salome” postcards.
