    History likes heroes; no matter what! Can you imagine that Paul Revere was not always a notable revolutionary patriot? The truth is, Revere gain little fame for his “Midnight Ride” in April 1775. He was nearly forgotten until Henry Longfellow wrote a poem that embellished Revere’s role in the events of that night.

It is unlikely that any other industry, outside the motion picture business has had to adapt to the likes and dislikes of their American audiences at so many times and in so many ways. Postcards remind us of the extravagance that brought viewers to see films of events and places they would never see or go.
