    History likes heroes; no matter what! Can you imagine that Paul Revere was not always a notable revolutionary patriot? The truth is, Revere gain little fame for his “Midnight Ride” in April 1775. He was nearly forgotten until Henry Longfellow wrote a poem that embellished Revere’s role in the events of that night.

There is an adage: “… the more things change the more they stay the same.” It may be true in some cases, but when it comes to men with big ideas and lots of money, the only thing that changes is the price tag. Such was the case of Sugar Loaf Rock, a recognized landmark in California that is no more. It’s a sad story!
