He was admired not only for his ability with a bat and ball but for his character in playing America’s favorite pastime sport – Major League Baseball.

Pole sitting has come from fad to fantasy. Those who were once vagrants and villains are now thought of as folk-heroes and gentlemen of high moral standards and noble causes.
Oh, what a difference a century makes. The gloves have come off so many social standards that today – everything is fair!
